Green Key Certified

The Green Key certification is in itself aleading standard of excellence in the field of environmental responsibility and sustainable operation within the tourism industry. This prestigious eco-label represents acommitment by The Westin Dragonara Resort that the Hotel adheres to the strict criteria as stipulated by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE).

Blue Flag Certified

The iconic Blue Flag is one of the world’smost recognised voluntary eco-labels awarded to beaches, marinas, & sustainable boating tourism operators.
In order to qualify for the Blue Flag, a seriesof stringent environmental, educational,safety, & accessibility criteria must be met and maintained.

Eco-Certified

The Westin Dragonara Resort is an Eco Certified Hotel. The eco certification is a voluntary scheme managed by the Malta Tourism Authority which recognizes hotels that show a tangible commitment towards the environment.
Eco-certified hotels must comply with a detailed set of criteria.

Photovoltaic

A photovoltaic installation on the rooftop of The Westin Dragonara consists of 1,000 photovoltaic panels each of 365Wp capacity with eight invertors (total capacity 336kW) covering 3,100 square metres of the Hotel’s roof and generating approximately 15% of the typical annual electricity consumption of the hotel.
