A tradition is back - The LCC General Assembly RECAP

The LCC flagship global conference on the business of travel and LCC network had returned this March: the LCC General Assembly.

Almost 30 months after our last global LCC conference we were thrilled to invite you to 30 years LCC to be celebrated in stunning Andalucia.

From 1 to 4 March 2023, Marbella was hosting LCC exclusively at the brand-new Hardrock Hotel Marbella.

We were gathering 400+ LCC entrepreneurs,  suppliers, travel leaders and industry experts over the course of three days. All was there: compelling conversations, challenging stage talks, and unmissable memories, stunning destination experiences, global networking opportunities within your LCC community - and so much more. The LCC General Assembly was the "can't miss event" in 2023.

The time has come: From 1- 4 March 2023, Andalusia is getting ready. Ready for us, ready for Lufthansa City Center, for an event that rocks. In the middle of Marbella, the Hard Rock Hotel opens its doors for the first time and welcomes the LCC General Assembly as a premiere - very exclusively as a kick-off into the new year. Special, unique, different!

"Closer!" is the motto of the event and the Kick Off 2023. Because this General Assembly is the first of its kind in 30 months. The first opportunity for around 50 new LCC members from 11 new LCC markets to personally experience the global LCC network "closer”. Because it is not only Corona that has shown us in these months: Breaking old patterns, unleashing strengths, unleashing shared potential is the order of the day: Moving closer to customers, closer to new needs, closer to new trends, closer to new work models, closer to new generations of travellers and employees, and closer to the potential of the LCC network is the model for success in the future. Be there when we put outstanding guest speakers, industry experts and great pioneers of our network on the big and small stage. Conversations will not be neglected, on the contrary - plenty of room for exchange, dialogue, inspiration, reflection and provocation will allow ideas to sprout.

It all starts on Wednesday, 1.3. at 6 p.m. for the opening - look forward to three unique evening events, 2.5 days of conference, great partners, breathtaking destination insights in LCC style - all this and much more.

Participation Fee

 

Participation package incl. 3 nights is 499 Euro in single rooms for early birds till 30.11.2022 (and 399 Euro in double room for LCC delegates - this deadline prolonged).

Special discounts will apply if more than 2 people per LCC attend (350 Euro for third and fourth person attending from same LCC).

As of 1 December the participation fee rises to 599 Euro (3 nights single room) and 499 Euro (double room). Private accompanying persons are more than welcome to join our event and attend all the F&B programme, 3 exciting dinners and transfer services. Private attendees amount to 599 Euro in double room, after 1 December the fee rises to 699 Euro in double room. 

 

At LCC, we want to emphasize the importance of sustainability in every area of life and business whenever we can. For this reason, we try to set a good example by also conducting our General Assembly in the most climate-friendly way possible.

Our chosen conference location - the Hard Rock Hotel Marbella - controls comsumption and reduces single-use plastic drastically and also started the programme "Save the Planet" to improve operational efficiency when it comes to sustainability. Click here to learn more.

In the preparation of the event, we we have turned every screw to minimize emissions as far as possible. To reduce meat consumption as a CO2 driver, we have arranged one purely vegetarian lunch. Moreover, print materials and unnecessary production e.g. for non-digital giveaways were strongly narrowed down. We will use digital signages in all venues and offer an event app instead of any kind of print navigation. For the needed materials, we used sustainable alternatives wherever possible. For example we have chosen a pen made from recycled PET material from Ocean Bound Plastic. The notebook for the attendees was printed climate neutral - supporting a project for clean drinking water for schools in Africa. Click here to learn more.

Nevertheless, a certain amount of CO2 emissions cannot be avoided at a conference of this size, due to the travel of participants, catering, accommodation and on-site activities. These unavoidable 697.657 kg of CO2 emissions will be fully offset this year through climate protection projects run by our partner Atmosfair. The compensation contribution was a mandatory part of the participation fee. By doing so, you automatically contributed to minimizing the ecological footprint of this year's General Assembly. Thank you very much for this!
